This position under general supervision, assists users with developing and testing government software, applications, databases, and systems. Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will have programming skills in languages such as Java, JavaScript, C , Oracle, SQL, and experience with modern development frameworks. You will be responsible for designing, coding, modifying, maintaining, and improving existing systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and responding to customer requests and requirements. The successful applicant will also demonstrate a passion for staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in software development. The role also requires a focus on testing and debugging the systems. Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code to improve existing systems. Debugging and troubleshooting/testing software issues to ensure smooth functionality. Developing database protocols and analyzing database systems. Monitor database performance and optimize to ensure optimal efficiency and availability Ability to write and optimize Oracle SQL queries. Familiarity with the NSA accreditation process. Design and execute database structures, tables, and indexes to meet performance requirements. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance. Requiring experience with classified databases and knowledge of DoD security regulations. Ability to do .NET development, SQL, and basic Oracle administration. Understanding and ability to implement code fundamentals. Knowledge of DoD security regulations, policy and procedures. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux). Desired: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university Prior Database Administration experience (2-4 years). Prior software testing experience (2- years). Strong knowledge and experience with database management systems (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
