Description

Position Summary

The Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications and associated databases, as needed to forward the goals of the WHA Information Center (WHAIC). The Developer will be responsible for applying developing skills to maximize the accessibility and utility of hospital, and other health care, data collected and maintained by WHAIC.

The position will work together with the Lead Developer, Database Administrator and other WHA and WHAIC staff and will assist with project planning, design, development, testing, documentation, and other deliverables for internal and external stakeholders. This position will be expected to learn new technologies, to contribute as part of a team, and to take responsibility and accountability for assignments and work efforts.

This position demands excellent group, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, a resilient and positive attitude, a high level of initiative, and a willingness to take on and collaborate on other projects.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities
  • 2+ years of full-stack software development experience using Microsoft development technologies
  • Develop, test, and maintain .Net applications
  • Design, develop, deploy, and deploying .Net applications and services on Microsoft Azure
  • Develop documentation through the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services into .Net applications
  • Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues
  • Knowledge of authentication/authorization protocols such as OAuth2 and SAML
  • Writing SQL queries, maintaining data integrity, and assist in the integration of databases into .Net applications
  • Work closely with colleagues in a collaborative and supportive environment
  • Adhere to strict customer confidentiality standards, recognizing that even acknowledgment of privileged information is prohibited. Adhere to HIPAA, FISMA and all other applicable state and federal laws.
  • Documenting all EDI processes and updates for training and future reference
  • Communicate and interact with a variety of internal and external personalities, cultivating professional working relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience

Education Required:
  • BS or BA degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience Required:
  • 2+ years of experience in software development using C and .Net(Framework,Core)
  • Web API and Entity Framework preferred
  • Microsoft Azure services and solutions (Azure DevOps, Git)
  • Bootstrap experience; version 5 preferred
  • Knowledge of HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript required
  • SQL Server
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Health care experience a plus.
  • A proven self-starter and problem-solver is a must.
Background check required.

Scope & Challenges

The Programmer must be confident, detail-oriented and efficient to handle multiple priorities. The position may involve a large volume and variety of work, some of which may need to be completed on short notice.
