.NET Developer

Job Description

A federal client of Insight Global is looking for a .Net Developer to join their team. This team is responsible for 7-8 ASP.Net applications. They are performing upgrades, patching, and maintaince these custom-built applications. This person is expected to be working in the entire SDLC (Planning, defining, designing, building, testing, and deploying these applications). This team works in an agile scrum environment. This team is busy (you might be responsible for writing code for 3 different unit systems in one given day). They need someone who is curious, has the ability to work independently, has integrity, and is comfortable with direct feedback.

The primary role of the software developer is to build and unit test custom components supporting the OFISs portfolio of applications.

The Software Developer works closely with the Technical Lead and Functional Lead to analyze functional requirements and implement effective programming solutions using .NET, ASP.NET, C , SQL, and Azure technologies.

Peer reviews of code are to be performed by all team members. The person in this role must have a strong knowledge of the languages and tools used in the development environment. This is not a client-facing role, but occasional interactions with clients will occur.

Some of the key responsibilities of a software developer are:

Design, develop, and unit test custom components in alignment with project requirements and technical specifications

Contribute to design and validation of data storage including SQL database and blob storage

Adhere to coding standards and best practices

Contribute to the delivery and implementation of solutions throughout the software development lifecycle

$45/hr to $50/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
