Job Description
The Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration's Bureau of Building, Grounds, and Real Property

Management and State Property Insurance tracks the assets, attributes, and the insurance of each of the properties

owned by the State. These properties include buildings, furniture, vehicles, and other related items. The attributes for

each of these properties include location, responsible personnel, age, replacement cost, and additional information.

The existing environment used to manage this data and make it available for use consists of a .NET Framework 4.0.0

application (ASP.NET - VB.NET) running on Windows 2016 Server with IIS version 10.0.14393.0. The contractor is

expected to upgrade the existing application to the latest .NET CORE version as well as make several changes to the

database and function of the application to enhance functionality. Access is both internal to our agency, and externally

by other state agencies. The web front end will be modernized as well to improve appearance as well as function.

Required Skills/Experience

Provide the minimum required skills and/or experience the contractor must possess to qualify for this position. These

requirements will be transferred to the Score Sheet and candidates without these requirements reflected on their resume will

NOT be presented to the manager for consideration.

Advanced knowledge of VB.NET, .NET Framework, .NET CORE programming

Advanced knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), and SQL database

Proficient with IIS configuration

Proficient with Windows Server versions 2016 and 2025

Knowledge of geocoding

Knowledge of Enhanced Information System (EIS)

Preferred/Not Required

Provide any skills/experience that would be helpful for the candidate to possess but not required. Examples: Previous supervisory

experience, WebLogic experience helpful, etc
