We are seeking a highly skilled .NET Architect who has extensive experience with VB.NET and is proficient in migrating applications from VB.NET to .NET Core. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing scalable, secure, and efficient web applications using Microsoft's Azure and AWS cloud platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Design:

  • Design and architect large-scale, distributed systems that leverage .NET Core, MVC, and modern cloud technologies.
  • Ensure the architecture adheres to best practices for scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Implement microservices architecture where appropriate to improve application modularity and fault isolation.

Application Development:

  • Develop high-quality, robust, and secure applications using C and VB.NET.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry standards and guidelines.

Migration Projects:

  • Lead the migration of existing VB.NET applications to .NET Core, ensuring compatibility and performance optimization.
  • Identify and address potential issues during the migration process, such as API changes, deprecated features, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Provide training and support to development teams on the new platform and technologies.

Cloud Services Implementation:

  • Utilize Azure and AWS cloud services (e.g., Azure Functions, App Service, Cosmos DB, RDS) to deploy and manage applications efficiently.
  • Design and implement serverless architectures using Azure Functions and AWS Lambda.
  • Configure and optimize cloud environments for cost-effectiveness and high availability.

DevOps Practices:

  • Integrate continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines into the development process using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Automate deployment processes to ensure rapid and reliable application releases.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot applications deployed on cloud platforms, using tools like Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, and Application Insights.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security best practices throughout the development lifecycle, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 5 years focused on .NET and cloud-based applications.
  • Extensive experience with VB.NET and .NET Core, including experience in building enterprise-grade applications.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and performant applications.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in C , VB.NET, and .NET Core.
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud platforms, including services like Azure Functions, App Service, Cosmos DB, RDS, and AWS Lambda.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
