Status: Full time (Benefit eligible)
Pay Rate: $18/hr.
Location: Jenny Eller Donor Center, Fresno, CA (could be assigned to other Fresno collection sites, mobile drives and outreach events on as needed basis)
Reports to: Days/Hours: 40 hours (must be available for scheduled shifts to meet site operational needs, including some weekends and holidays)
Job Summary: The Donor Recruitment and Outreach Assistant supports donor recruitment and outreach efforts to attract and retain donors. This includes coordinating and participating in outreach events, providing excellent customer service, accurately registering donors
in-center and mobile drives and responding to donor inquiries.
Essential Job Duties:- Maintain positive and professional customer service at all times.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with community groups, organizations and businesses.
- Plans, organize and participate in outreach events to educate the community on the importance of blood donations.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities. Assist Account Managers during mobile drives as needed.
- Must accurately register all donors.
- Professionally handle incoming phone calls to CCBC, route calls to proper extensions or communicate information to appropriate person or department efficiently.
- Follow written procedures and policies.
- Be flexible with work hour, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts when necessary.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.

Required Qualifications and Skills:- Exceptional customer service skills in person and over the phone.
- Strong computer skills necessary to perform job functions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle fast-paced, multi-tasking environment efficiently.
- Proven history of handling challenging situations professionally and kindly
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals.
- Clean DMV record.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude and appearance at all times.
- Ability to travel to other facility sites, mobile drives, and outreach events, and work varying days, shifts, and hours.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- High school graduate with some college or degree in Marketing, Public Relations, and/or related field.
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
