Domain Systems Administrator
Tope is seeking a Domain System Administrator to support the AF Strategic Program Information Services team in support of the Sentinel Information Services (IS) team. The selected applicant will join am interdisciplinary team providing OS level help desk support. This position will include the following duties and responsibilities:
Deploy and manage Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) domain controllers
Create and manage directory infrastructure, FSMO roles, trusts, and replication topology
Create top-level OU hierarchies with standard sub-OUs, groups, and security permissions
Manage security settings within the domain
Implement and enforce security policies
Apply and enforce naming conventions for objects in the domain
User Account Management: Create, delete, manage, reset, and force password changes
Group Management: Modify group memberships, and manage group policies
Delegation of Control: Grant and revoke domain-wide administrative privileges
Troubleshoot technical issues within the domain
Develop strategies for disaster recovery
Conduct training for overlap support and any cross-department end-user training
Perform root cause analysis and resolve faults and errors in applications
Develop recommendations for enhancing software support services.
Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures
Update work instruction documentation and standard operating procedures
Ensure assigned operating systems and applications are compliant with DoD directives and guidelines, including DISA STIG and IAVM bulletins.
Position requires a current Security+ Certification , fully adjudicated DoD Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance and at least 7+ years' experience (with a BS degree) or 8+ years' experience (with a HS diploma) with:
Microsoft Domain Services System Administration
IT principles, including operating systems, networking, and enterprise software
Windows Workstations and Server operating systems
Design, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of Windows and Windows Server
Proactively managing and prioritizing multiple related projects, assignments, timelines, milestones, and follow-up communications
Utilize DISA STIG checklists to assess and document compliance
Other skills desired are:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work in a team environment and follow established procedures and protocols
Standards compliance and information assurance, including ITAR, CCA, FedRAMP, DIACAP, RMF, ITIL, CMMI
Experience supporting a DoD customer.
