Job Summary:
The Documentation Analyst is responsible for supporting documentation activities related to the soda ash export market. The primary function of this role is to coordinate the information between customers and the Export Analyst, verifying and assuring the accuracy of all documents.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the review and entry of assigned international customer orders ensuring all information is complete including delivery dates, shipping methods, payment terms and freight forwarding/customs. Review all information and ensure correct information is in the system and shared with internal stakeholders.
- Acts as primary point of contact for all customer questions for documents.
- Work closely with customer, commercial manager, and Customs Broker to review and issue export documents per customer requirements, in compliance with current laws and requirements.
- Manage export documentation and freight documents for railcars and bulk vessels (COO, COA, BOLs, AES and Invoices).
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes while focusing on safety and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in international business, logistics, or related field of study, or has equivalent work experience.
- Recent graduate
- 1-3 years of export logistics, container shipments, trade compliance, supply chain or related experience.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to respond to customer needs in a manner that provides added value and generates significant customer satisfaction.
- Experience working in a multi-tasking, dynamic, fluid team environment.
- Highly detail oriented, organized and customer focused.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods in a noisy environment.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
- Able to meet physical demands of the position.
- Must be able to travel internationally.
