The Dockside Bar & Grill Manager is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the restaurant. The Manager will create an excellent customer experience, hire and maintain a highly trained restaurant staff, and direct all restaurant operations. Maintain the highest standards of food, service, health and safety, ensure the efficient and profitable business performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilization of staff and resources.
Education and Experience - Four years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- Previous leadership experience required
- Must have a valid Drivers License
Duties and Responsibilities - Responsible for helping the restaurant meet service, sales, and profit objectives.
- Supervising and directing associates in daily work activities
- Ensuring proper training of employees
- Formulating work schedules
- Maintaining good customer and public relations within the community,
- Ensuring that guests have a positive and memorable experience each and every time they visit
- Ensuring proper compliance with cash control procedures and performing related accounting and administrative reports as required.
- Manage daily operations and POS functions.
- Maintain inventory and order items/supplies as necessary - FOH
- Inspect open/close restaurant in accordance with daily checklists.
- Enforce Company Policies and Procedures with Cash handling & reconciliation - balance tills, provide due-backs.
- Ability to multi-task, and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics; self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently.
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.
- Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
- Stay current on all emergency procedures and acts accordingly.
- Wear proper attire and enforce uniforms/name tags at all times in accordance with the standards of appearance.
