PRS is looking for a skilled Division Order Analyst to join a client's mineral management team. Person will be analyzing and managing division orders, lease agreements, and ownership interests for assets.
Candidate will have experience in revenue distribution, title examination, and lease administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify division orders and examining lease agreements.
- Review title documents, maintaining precise records based on title opinions, conveyances, probate documents, and other legal documentation.
- Communicate with operators and royalty owners to affirm ownership details.
- Translate, review, and manage oil and gas leases, assignments, and contracts.
- Track lease expirations, extensions, renewals, obligations, and more.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies for revenue payments related to interest ownership.
- Collaborate with land, legal, and accounting teams to meet leasing obligations.
- Maintain organized analytical records to support audits and filings.
- Ensure compliance with lease terms, including shut-in payments, rental payments, and critical clauses (e.g., Pugh clauses, depth severances, etc.).
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience in division orders, lease administration, or a related role in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of oil and gas lease terms, division orders, and also mineral ownership.
- Experience with title examination as well as curative work, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in land management / accounting software (e.g., MineralSoft, DrillingInfo, EnergyLink).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret legal documents, contracts, and conveyances accurately accurately and acutely.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred
- Membership with local industry organizations.
- Experience working with a mineral rights company or operator.
- Knowledge of revenue distribution / O&G accounting principles.
