Position Summary


Shantilal Muttha Foundation (SMF) will be working in collaboration with the Govt of Maharashtra for state-wide implementation of its flagship programme "Mulyavardhan' in all Govt and Govt Aided schools. SMF is looking for individuals with excellent program management skills and prior experience of working with the Govt. system, preferably with School education sector, for leading and coordinating the programme at the district level. The DPC will manage the SMF Taluka coordinators and monitor their work. The DPC will directly work with district level government functionaries for program activities in the district and ensure that the programme outcomes are met. This position will be based at district headquarters.


Trainings


  • Support/work closely with district/block level officials

- To create a detail plan for district resource group member's training and its implementation.

- To create a comprehensive block wise teacher training plan and oversee its implementation in collaboration

with Taluka coordinators

  • Coordinate with district/block officials and ensure all necessary materials, including manuals, presentations, and digital content are available for the training.
  • Observe and document the quality of training programs using the prescribed evaluation format and ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Plan and execute training programmes for block and cluster level coordinators to conduct classroom observations providing structured feedback to teachers.
  • Identify the training needs of the Taluka coordinators in coordination with MTs and plan to execute the training programmes with HO team.
  • Ensure the all the Taluka coordinators attended the training programmes.

Programme Implementation and Quality


  • Annual Work Plan

- Develop a detailed district level annual work plan covering all components of the programme and ensure

programme implementation is in line with approved timelines and budgets for delivery of results/ outcomes with

quality as per the targets for the year

- Support Taluka coordinators in planning and implementation of program interventions at taluka level.

  • Coordinate with district level officials to ensure timely distribution of MV materials to the blocks.
  • Understand programme priorities and delegate responsibilities accordingly across team members and take necessary support from other state/central team members.
  • Conduct regular school visits to identify issues and support the team to conduct quality classroom observations and providing constructive feedback
  • Support and facilitate district/block program review meetings with Government stakeholders by sharing program data.
  • Identify programme quality issues for the district with the help of data/dashboards and develop the strategies to address the same in coordination with MTs and HO team.
  • Support District/block level officials along with DRGs and CRCs on to conduct structured cluster level teacher meetings (Shikshan Parishad) and ensure quality.
  • Actively participate and share/discuss district level progress and issues in SMF review meetings with help of data/dashboard.
  • Conduct monthly programme review meetings with Taluka coordinators to discuss the progress and programme implementation issues.

Team and Stakeholder Management


o Represent SMF in district level meetings and workshops organized by Government and other organizations.

o Ensure high engagement of the district and block level Government stakeholders in the program by sharing monthly progress reports and planning their visits to the field.

o Build and manage a strong team of Taluka coordinators to effectively execute the programme in schools across all the blocks in the district.

o Good relation building with district level BJS Volunteers and regular district updates and prepare strategies to engage them.

o Support and ensure that the TCs to Create/enable Whatsapp groups for block/cluster level officials and teachers to meaningful discussions/interactions.

o Actively engage public representatives and all district-level officials (ZP CEO, Collector, Palak Mantri, etc.) in the MV initiative, fostering strong relationships and encouraging their participation and support.

o Adhere to policies and Guiding principles and values of organisations.


Documentation and Communications


o Provide support to the HO team in the development of various academic material and videos under the project

o Monitor daily, weekly, monthly data based on the M&E needs and track project outcomes as per prescribed monitoring processes and indicators

o Prepare the Monthly progress reports of the activities with all Taluka coordinators and share with the district officials and HO team.

o Support the Taluka coordinators in documenting the program success stories and case studies with required details in the prescribed format in a timely manner.

o Ensure all the communication material to reach all the appropriate stake holders on time.

o Enhance the MV's outreach by sharing impactful stories through media coverage, including social media, in collaboration with the HO team

o Perform any additional tasks assigned by management based on program needs.


Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or education.

At least 5-8 years of project management experience preferably in primary/elementary education or working with NGOs, INGOs, CSOs, and/or CSRs

Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, short turnaround times, and changing goalposts

Good understanding on the Government system of working.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi/Marathi language is needed.

Ability to prepare and interpret workplans, schedules, and step-by-step action plans

Strong familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Word and Poer point), Google Apps

Good people management and negotiation skills

Excellent team spirit and a positive attitude.

Readiness to travel regularly in the district and sometimes to the HO.

Own a vehicle and possess a driving license

Preference will be given to candidates from the same Districts

Enjoy a varied pace of working and cope well under pressure
