District Administrative AssistantPosition Purpose Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Superintendent or designee, to provide clerical, secretarial and administrative assistance to district administrators, conveying information regarding district functions and procedures; and supporting the broad array of services provided to students, parents, instructional and support employees.
Essential Job Functions - Assists with the copying and distribution of documents and other materials (e.g., correspondence, bulletins, reports) for administrative, instructional and clerical staff.
- Assists in maintaining documents, files and records for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference.
- Assists with answering telephone calls, and provide information and assistance to callers.
- Assists in distributing incoming mail appropriately.
- Assists in maintaining inventories of supplies and materials for the purpose of ensuring items' availability.
- Assists and maintains copier and postage machine
- Prepares, copies and distributes notices, memoranda or other correspondence for the purpose of informing school employees regarding activities, events or other work-related matters.
- Assists in maintaining calendar of school and district events for the purpose of coordinating and scheduling events.
- Assist visitors to the office, including students, parents, staff, community and others.
- Evaluates situations for the purpose of taking appropriate action and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Responds to inquiries from students, parents and employees, providing information, facilitating communication among parties and/or providing direction.
- Assists with district department tasks as needed.
- Assists with putting in requisitions and ordering supplies and materials for administrators
- Assists with set up and break down of district events
Additional Duties Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Equipment Use standard office equipment, such as personal computers and copiers.
Travel Requirements Travel between schools, or between schools and central offices, may be required for certain positions.

Qualifications Profile Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior successful clerical experience preferred.
