We are recruiting for a Distribution Center Supervisor for a client in Jamesburg, NJ who will be responsible for the daily supervision of personnel to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient operation within the Distribution Center (DC). The role focuses on training, performance management, resource allocation, and operational oversight to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The Supervisor will drive continuous improvement, enforce company best practices, and ensure compliance with all regulations while fostering a motivated and productive workforce. $53,272 - $75,380
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily distribution center operations, ensuring adherence to KPIs and SLAs.
- Develop and implement training programs for personnel, emphasizing safety and operational efficiency.
- Manage employee performance, including reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Monitor inventory activities, including inspections, cycle counts, and dealer returns.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and budgetary guidelines.
- Optimize resource allocation and equipment utilization to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure proper record-keeping, reporting, and communication with management and stakeholders.
- Assist in space planning, budgeting, and operational improvements.
Schedule & Travel:
- Shift: The standard shift is Monday - Friday 12:30pm - 9:00pm.
- Occasional daily overtime is needed 09:30pm-10:30pm or time in between.
- Additionally, there are occasional Saturday Overtime shifts either 05:00am-10:00am or 8:00am - 1:00pm.
- Temporary assignment for 3-6 months, possibly longer.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma (Required); Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).
- Experience: 2-4 years of supervisory experience in a distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Spanish proficiency is a plus.
