SUMMARY: The
Distributed Control System (DCS) Technician will assist in designing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining DCS and PLC control systems and their networks.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Install operator workstations and printers.
- Install desktop operating systems and control system software.
- Install OT network cabling and other network equipment.
- Install control system hardware.
- Troubleshoot and provide technical support for the OT network, hardware, and software.
- Perform preventative maintenance where needed.
- Maintain required documentation.
- Assist Process Control Specialist.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Compliance with all policies and standards.
Requirements
- An Associate's Degree in Industrial Automation, Instrumentation Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Experience with Yokogawa DCS systems is preferred.
- Possess a thorough understanding of network topology as well as private IP addresses to facilitate network design and configuration of all network devices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
