Dispatcher & Customer Service Agent
This position is responsible for converting incoming customer calls into booked service calls while simultaneously managing the logistics for all calls from start to finish. The dispatcher MUST possess strong customer service skills along with genuine empathy for customers. A qualified candidate will have the ability to work with limited supervision, be self-motivated and will take the initiative to learn more and grow with the company. You must have effective listening and verbal communication skills, sales capability, a proven ability to meet or exceed set goals, and be receptive to coaching and feedback. Dispatcher Responsibilities:
- Answering all incoming calls in order to book service requests and route non-customer calls to the appropriate party,
- Analyzing the customer's needs and strategizing the most effective way to meet those needs,
- Professionally communicating the services offered by the company to customers in every interaction; being well versed enough in the operations in order to support each customer,
- Resolving customer service issues with compassion and diplomacy,
- Problem solving and prioritizing work flow,
- Collecting payments on all COD jobs,
- Typing grammatically correct emails, estimates and letters,
- Utilizing the internal dispatch program expertly,
- Maintaining a constant desire to learn more and do more with the tools at hand,
- Supporting the company with data reporting, spreadsheets and research gathering as needed or requested,
- Performing miscellaneous administrative duties and other duties as assigned with competence and courtesy.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new programs,
- Customer service experience demonstrating a positive attitude and pleasant phone demeanor,
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and in a team setting,
- Must have excellent attendance and be prompt and on time,
- Adaptive, flexible and able to adjust to change,
- Knowledge of a service based business, preferably plumbing,
- The senses of sight, speech (Must Speak and Write English) and hearing are required,
- Must be a US citizen or legal resident alien,
- Selected candidate will undergo a background check, drug screening and MVR check.
Working Conditions:
The majority of the time will be spent in an office environment with a controlled temperature. Hours are normally scheduled 7:00am to 5:00pm with 1 hour off for lunch and 2 - 15 minute breaks.

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.
Body Positions: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time. Employee may also be required to stand and/or walk for periods of time while completing other duties & responsibilities.
Body Movements: The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of his/her hands to finger, handle, and feel objects such as computer equipment. The ability to bend the body, to reach for objects and to crouch when needed are also required.
Body Senses: The employee must have command of all five senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. These vision requirements in area must be sufficient to shift in focus from computer screens to close forms.
Strength: The employee must have the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
