The Strategy & Executive Office (SEO) drives the long-term strategic direction of Novo Nordisk Inc. The Strategy &Executive Office is responsible for setting the strategic direction for NNI and drive pull through of that strategy by partnering with senior leaders across the value chain. NNI leads all US commercial efforts for Novo Nordisk. The SEO team collaborates and partners with groups across U.S. Operations, Research & Early Development, Development, innovation hubs across NN, other affiliates, and global. The Position
The Director of US Operations Consulting will be an integral member of our consulting team, spending time focused on providing services in areas such as the following: business transformation, commercial operations, commercial strategy, market access, growth strategy, operating model optimization, technology implementation and enterprise transformation. The role will deliver high impact, enterprise projects that activate and accelerate the US Operations strategies. Projects can range across the full value chain in support of the top business priorities.
Relationships
Reports to the US Operations Consulting, Senior Director.
Key stakeholders include: NN US Operations Executive and Leadership Teams, Executive office team, Enterprise Strategy team, Functional stakeholders (US and Global) & Direct Reports.
Essential Functions
Leads and successfully delivers large-scale and highly complex projects (high value and visibility, challenging issues, wide range of stakeholders)Splits focus leading multiple projects - serving as the primary lead of 2 or more projects at a time, and supports other project(s) as a sparring partner / workstream ownerDrives discussions around problem-solving, with strong identification, structuring, and prioritization of issuesPrepares storylines for documents and excels at structured communicationAssumes full project management responsibility for large-scale projects with highly complex projects, including proactive issue escalation and resolutionEnsures the quality of team outputs, including accuracy, clarity, and messagingPrepares project plans and scopes, with clear objectives, timeline and milestones, stakeholder identification, responsibilitiesServes as a trusted advisor to senior managementProvides expertise across the value chain and of consulting approaches/frameworksManages, coaches and mentors junior team members (both in projects and outside of project settings)Supports the Executive Office and Consulting Leadership Team to help set the team strategy and operational planningLeads team capability building initiatives outside of project deliveryFlexible in terms of working under tight deadlines and ambiguity in a fast-paced environmentAttracts external management consulting talents through active participation in recruitment activitiesPhysical Requirements

Development Of People
Supervisory. Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree is required10+ years of relevant experience. A Master's and/or advanced degree, preferably an MBA, can be substituted for up to 2 years of experience when appropriate4-6 years proven project management and/or consulting experiencePrior experience from tier 1 life science consultancies is highly beneficial but not a prerequisiteUnderstanding of general biopharma value chain and business processes (marketing, access, development, supply chain, etc.)Experience working with consulting and financial frameworks and approachesExperience and comfort working with top executives, with strong executive presenceStructured top-down written and oral communication, presentation skillsStrong project management skills to drive projects to completionStrong analytical and visualization skillsStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsProficient in using PC tools (PowerPoint and Excel) is requiredStrong language skills in English (written and orally)We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
