We're searching for a Director of Transport & Transfer Center, someone who's ready to be part of the best ranked children's hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will provide 24-hour accountability for the clinical, administrative and human resources activities within the Transport Services department and Nerve Center. Ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective, developmentally appropriate patient care in a family centered care environment.
  • Intensive Care Patient Transport - Ground, Fixed Wing, and Helicopter
  • System Transfer Center - 4 hospitals

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ensuring patient care delivered by the Transport team is safe, high quality, age appropriate, cost effective and efficient care. Advocate for departmental resources necessary to achieved desired clinical outcomes. Monitor patient satisfaction to align with organizational goals and initiatives. Ensure regulatory compliance is met for all clinical standards of patient care.
  • Exhibit vision and leadership in collaboration with the Transport Program Director, faculty, staff, and executive leadership for the Transport program and the Transfer Center. Provide insight and expertise on development or program initiatives. Promote ongoing development of staff and create a work climate that fosters employee participation, satisfaction, and organizational commitment.
  • Actively lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and delivery. Create, implement, track and share departmental customer service standards. Ensure accreditation and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Develop and prioritize service-based goals that support the organization's mission, vision, and overall strategic plan. Manage service lines across the system as a whole and collaboratively work together with all hospital campuses toward one shared vision.
  • Provide fiscal management of departmental budget and operations. Oversee operations related to budget, staffing, and capital equipment and supplies. Report financial performance monthly to executive leadership.
Requirements:
  • Required bachelor's degree in nursing or other healthcare related field
  • Required master's degree in nursing, Business, or healthcare related field
  • Preferred RN - Lic-Registered Nurses by the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact
  • Required 5 years Nursing or healthcare experience including three years of management/leadership experience
  • Preferred 3 years Transport, EMS, or transfer center experience
