FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Talent Management will be responsible for leading and overseeing global, large-scale projects, processes, and initiatives that align with strategic talent priorities. This individual will act as a key resource and point of contact for executing GPC's comprehensive global talent framework.


The role involves collaborating closely with HR partners across GPC businesses to implement talent priorities, including performance management, succession planning, critical role identification, and the execution of a global assessment strategy. Additionally, the Director will work to create synergies in organizational processes, such as engagement surveys and talent acquisition, to drive overall business success.


This leader will provide both strategic insight and practical guidance on the execution of top-tier talent activities to include onboarding, assessment strategy, performance management, talent reviews, calibration, and succession planning.


The successful candidate will apply in-depth expertise and thought leadership across a broad spectrum of talent management disciplines to drive business success. Additional responsibilities of the position include:

  • Lead measurement efforts to ensure quality, adherence, and effectiveness of talent processes
  • Manage large and small projects, utilizing sound project management skills and excellent follow up/reporting
  • Partner with external vendors to align desired project outcomes
  • Remain fluent and provide insights on current trends/practices related to talent including the use of talent related AI/automation
  • Collaborate with various centers of expertise to maximize synergies and produce world-class talent outcomes
  • Gather and analyze trends and metrics to proactively develop solutions, programs, processes, and policies
  • Lead continuous improvement across the talent framework and processes - working effectively with an analytics team to gather and act on insights

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role focused on Talent Management, ideally within a multi-company, public organization supporting 30,000+ employees. Experience in global environments, particularly in the Asia-Pacific and European regions, is valued.


This subject matter expert should possess advanced knowledge of current talent management strategies and practices, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects from initiation to completion, delivering them on time, within budget, and achieving desired outcomes. Familiarity with Workday's talent module is a plus.


Additional qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated excellence in analytical and project management skills, proven ability to design clear processes, and a highly detail-oriented yet flexible approach to problem solving
  • Strong technical skills - ability to navigate through various software programs (MAC presentation skills a plus)
  • Ability to achieve goals through influencing, partnering and developing trusting relationships with senior leadership and line managers across the businesses

EDUCATION

A bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field required; an advanced degree is preferred


COMPENSATION

Our client offers a highly competitive compensation package, including a base salary commensurate with experience and both short-term and long-term bonus incentives
