JOB TITLE: Director, Strategic Operations and Continuous Improvement
REPORTING TO: VP of Operations - IH&S
Pay Range: $134,400.00 - $201,600.00 USD Annual
These positions may require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reporting to the VP of Operations - IH&S, this individual will drive measurable results using two skill sets: Strategic Operations and Continuous Improvement. Strategic Operations will involve partnering with the organization to identify, justify, approve, plan and implement large scale operational improvements in a complex matrix organization. This team member will also be responsible for driving the adoption and utilization of the IDEX operating model and continuous improvement model.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Gains a solid understanding of the Company's key initiatives, competitive priorities, and ensures linkage of strategy and continuous improvement efforts with these goals.
- Act as a business partner with operations & functional management to identify large, strategic opportunities to drive simplicity, scale and profitability.
- Manage operational projects through project plan development, results tracking, and coaching site leaders through project execution.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma techniques and CI tools to lead the organization in data-based decision making.
- Deliver effective Continuous Improvement training courses tailored to meet organizational needs.
- Facilitate improvement events, building and leading focused teams to address systemic problems.
- Diagnose process improvement and operational opportunities that will deliver financial results.
- Communicate, track, and report on project progress with key stakeholders.
- Coach and mentor CI team, leading by example and building trust.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, business, engineering discipline, or technical degree.
- 7-10 years of experience in Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence.
- Must possess knowledge of LEAN principles and Problem Solving Tools.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate across all organizational levels.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
