What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Lead and structure a high-performing team of 15+ research engineers, providing clear expectations and coaching
2. Collaborate with product and technology leaders to shape the future of AI solutions in tax, accounting, and audit
3. Drive the end-to-end model development lifecycle and ensure operational excellence in AI systems
4. Foster innovative ideas and promote the adoption of AI/ML research engineering practices across the organization
5. Manage project portfolios, budgets, priorities, and staff allocations for multiple initiatives

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field; Master's or PhD preferred
2. 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in Machine Learning products
3. 5+ years of management experience in coaching high-performing teams in an agile environment
4. Proven experience in integrating machine learning solutions into production-grade software
5. Expertise in Python development and various ML libraries such as Numpy, Scipy, and Pandas

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. 8+ years of management experience in coaching and developing teams
2. Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks such as Named Entity Recognition and Information Retrieval
3. Hands-on experience with additional programming languages like Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript
