Role Overview
As the Director of the Rehabilitation Service Line, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all therapy services including:
- Acute Inpatient Rehab (27-bed unit)
- Inpatient PT/OT/ST
- Outpatient Rehab Services
You will be responsible for:
- Leading a department with 85-95 FTEs (up to 125 staff)
- Overseeing two direct reports (RN Manager of Acute Rehab + Therapy Services Manager)
- Maintaining CARF standards and ensuring top-tier clinical outcomes
- Driving strategic service line growth, physician collaboration, and regulatory excellence
- Building a culture of compassion, teamwork, and innovation across all therapy teams
- Managing quality metrics, compliance, productivity, and budgetary goals
- Licensed PT, OT, ST, or RN
- Leadership experience in acute rehab or post-acute hospital settings
- Familiarity with CARF accreditation and CMS/state rehab regulations
- Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, nursing, or a therapy discipline
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams with compassion and clarity
- Hands-on leader who enjoys coaching staff, rounding with the team, and driving quality care

- Manage rehabilitation supervisors and rehabilitation callers
- Providing patient care and directing the clinical rehabilitation services for the facility rehabilitation practice
- Direct resident rehabilitation services for the facility rehab department
- Implement guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy
- Ensure that advance in rehabilitation
- Evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation care
- Provide administrative rehabilitation supervision, serve as a rehabilitation staff mentor, and provide occupational therapy services
