We are looking for Director Reefers & Special Commodities to join our amaZing team in ZIM US.
Director Reefers & Special Commodities leads all commercial activities related to refrigerated and special commodities in the United States, ensuring market competitiveness, operational efficiency, and business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Drive growth in special commodities by enhancing speed-to-market and aligning internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the national reefer sales lead, ensuring focus on top-tier commercial accounts.
- Foster a performance-driven culture focused on ownership, accountability, and service excellence.
- Manage reefer ambassadors across branches to support target achievement and identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with Head Office on the annual reefer equipment budget and special commodity budget in collaboration with respective business units.
- Collaborate with BU's to ensure pricing strategies for reefer and special cargo are competitive and aligned with market conditions.
- Optimize equipment flow by reducing inventory in overbalanced locations and maintaining availability in demand areas.
- Review and approve reports, and analytics, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, International Trade, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales Managment roles with focus on Reefer/Special Commodities cargo within International Shipping/Freight Forwarding company - must.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and hands-on approach.
