Summary
We seek a talented Director, Program Management, experienced in managing programs and cross-functional project teams from candidate selection and into early clinical development. The position reports to the VP, Program Management.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Project Lead to manage cross-functional matrix project teams and select sub-teams
- Lead the development of and continuously manage the integrated cross-functional project Gantt chart
- Identify and manage interdependencies, critical path and at-risk activities to support program level scenario planning and risk management strategies
- Provide fit-for-purpose summary views of the programs for team use and executive leadership review; present timelines and project overviews to executive team as needed
- Manage relevant dashboards to communicate status and track progress
- Identify presentation topics and coordinate development of presentation materials for Governance and Executive meetings
- Manage select external vendors (timelines, budgets, coordination of SOWs, etc.) and integrate deliverables into project Gantt
- Ensure projects achieve key deliverables and progress toward milestones according to timeline
- Run cross-functional project team meetings including scheduling, preparing agendas, coordination of presentation materials, documentation of minutes, and follow up of action items
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a science related field required. Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in life sciences or other discipline related to drug development desirable
- At least 12 years relevant experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company with minimum of 6 years direct project management experience in biotech/pharma, with experience in biotech or small company operating models strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional activities to enable regulatory filings (e.g. IND, NDA/BLA) required. Experience with Biologics highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of cross-functional deliverables necessary to advance programs from identification of drug candidate through to early clinical development. Experience in immunology and inflammatory disease therapeutic areas preferred.
- Experienced in managing external vendors, with demonstrated ability to ensure CROs deliver against commitments
- In-depth experience in managing IND-enabling preclinical work a plus

The expected base pay range for this position is $175,000 - $230,000 plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. This range may be modified in the future.
