Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Reporting to the VP Commercial Europe, the Director of Product Marketing is accountable for delivering ambitious sales growth, optimizing brand value, and ensuring flawless execution of the European marketing strategy. We are looking for a results-driven individual to lead and accelerate the commercial performance across Europe. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader who thrives on setting clear objectives, measuring outcomes, and driving continuous improvement. You will lead the European marketing strategy for our next-generation immuno-oncology product. We seek a proactive individual with the mandate, credentials, and passion to both act and advise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performance Leadership: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of European marketers, setting clear goals and holding the team accountable for delivering measurable results.
• Strategic Execution: Prepare and execute a robust European Marketing plan, leveraging new market insights to outperform competitors and exceed commercial targets.
• Cutaneous launch preparation: Own the European Brand Plan and Commercial execution plan for the potential cutaneous melanoma launch, ensuring all activities are aligned to deliver maximum impact and ROI.
• Global and Regional Influence: Represent Europe commercial in the Global Product Team, ensuring European performance metrics and market needs are central to global decision-making.
• Sales Growth: Shape and implement strategies and tactics that directly drive sales growth and market share, with a relentless focus on performance metrics.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the European medical affairs team to deliver the brand strategy, ensuring all initiatives are aligned to achieve Brand objectives.
• Opportunity Development: Identify and quantify future opportunities for the brand, developing compelling business cases that support investment and growth.
• Customer Insight Generation: Generate actionable customer insights through direct engagement with KOLs, HCPs, nurses, patient groups, and market research, translating insights into performance-driving actions.
• KPI Management: Define, track, and report on key performance indicators in partnership with the sales director and business cluster heads, using data to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
• Support Programme Impact: Lead support programme efforts in key markets (Germany, France, Italy, UK), ensuring initiatives deliver measurable value to customers and patients.
• Peer-to-Peer and Congress Excellence: Drive high-impact peer-to-peer initiatives and lead a best-in-class congress strategy, maximizing engagement and brand visibility.
• Agency and Resource Management: Effectively manage multiple agencies, ensuring all partners are aligned to performance goals and deliverables.
• Compliance and Integrity: Ensure all customer-facing activities are fully compliant with EFPIA, ABPI, IMCR SOPs, and local regulations, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and documentation.
• Market Engagement: Commit to regular travel across Europe and to international congresses to engage with key customers and drive commercial performance.
Experience & knowledge
Essential
• Track record of performance and delivery to sales and market share goals
• Experience in the launch and commercialisation of oncology therapeutic drugs
• Business acumen to present to senior leadership in an organisation (international leadership team)
• Demonstrated strong strategic thinking with the ability to execute tactical plans
• Ability to positively connect across multiple stakeholders, including experience of working with KOLs in multiple countries
• Curious and data driven mindset, constantly questioning assumptions and working with a sense of urgency to enable the delivery of the best care to patients with cancer
• Collaborative with a strong desire to partner internally and externally to achieve shared goals
• Ability to lead, influence, and work in a complex and cross-functional environment regardless of reporting structure
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to interface with external stakeholders, cross-functional partners, alliance partners, and senior management
• Analytical skills and understanding of market research tools
• Science degree (minimum BA/BS) with 10 years related work experience
• Understanding of external laws, codes and company policies that apply to the healthcare industry (EFPIA, ABPI)
• Demonstrated experience of third-party agency management. Managing multiple vendor projects with timelines and budget.
• Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages (in particular: German and French) beneficial
Desirable
• Strong understanding of the European oncology landscape, including market trends.
• Experience in melanoma
• Social and digital media experience
• Experience of working with content management system, e.g., Veeva, with additional experience of the promotional and medical approval processes in the UK, and other European markets
Education & qualifications
• Degree in life sciences (or equivalent experience)
• Advanced Marketing qualifications. Master's in business administration (MBA) desirable
