The Director of Partner Development will recruit, develop, and sign new partners via multiple channels, including self-sourcing, trade shows, professional networking, inbound leads, personal connections, and company driven marketing campaigns. The Director of Partner Development will establish new partnerships. Partnerships are defined as independent software vendors (ISVs), value added resellers (VARs)and POS software developers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Responsible for prospecting, identifying, and signing NEW ISV Partnerships
  • Negotiate contracts and Schedule A with partners wanting to board new merchants onto Fortis platform
  • Build and manage your own pipeline, drive & win new opportunities from that pipeline
  • Design, implement, and create GTM sales strategies to build and support ongoing efforts.
  • Fully document and demonstrate sales efforts through metric-based reporting
  • Achieve a solid understanding of Fortis commerce platform and be able to communicate the value of the platform to ISVs and new partnership opportunities.
  • Solution selling, ideally within payments or similar industries such as software or technology
  • Ability to deliver on value and not sell on price or revenue.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • PC literacy with strong competency in all Microsoft Office Suite programs and CRM
  • Possess problem solving skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in Fintech or the payment industry
  • Knowledge: Track record of success fining, landing, and growing successful partnerships

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working Conditions: This is a remote position. Some travel is required.
  • Physical Activities: Occasional standing, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, typing on a computer keyboard, and speaking on the telephone. Frequent repetitive motions.
