The Role

This is a senior leadership position designed for a performance marketing expert who thrives on both client ownership and operational leadership. You will be the day-to-day lead on a major search account, while also building and shaping Alley's overall paid search offering. You'll oversee the strategy, execution, and innovation roadmap for paid search campaigns, manage a team of SEM specialists, and play a critical role in both internal growth and external client success.


What You'll Do

  • Lead a key enterprise-level client relationship, owning the paid search strategy and aligning media with business goals
  • Serve as the senior client contact and strategic advisor, offering proactive insight, foresight, and leadership across all paid search initiatives
  • Design and scale best-in-class SEM programs across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and emerging search channels
  • Build and mentor a high-performing paid search team, fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and accountability
  • Define Alley's search playbook: from keyword strategy and automation to budget planning, audience innovation, and measurement frameworks
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Management, Creative, Analytics, and Executive Leadership to elevate the impact of search within the broader media mix
  • Own department-level P&L responsibilities, including profitability, staffing, and growth forecasting
  • Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm changes, and industry trends-ensuring Alley's clients are always ahead of the curve

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of paid search experience, including deep technical knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, GA4, and third-party tools like SA360, Skai, or Marin
  • 3+ years managing SEM teams and overseeing large-scale client portfolios
  • Proven success leading complex, multi-market search accounts with large budgets and performance targets
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing financials, margins, and growth roadmaps
  • Clear, confident communicator who can guide senior stakeholders through data-backed recommendations
  • A bias for action, curiosity, and innovation - you're not just optimizing campaigns, you're building what's next
  • Experience collaborating with performance media, analytics, and creative teams to drive full-funnel impact
