are part of the Church today. We are proud of our Angel Arms Ministry for adults and children who have disabilities and our Northminster Learning Center, which is an accredited, full-day or partial-day Christian Preschool with Kindergarten and after-school programs for children ages 24 months to 5th grade.

General Summary:
Guided by NPC's mission, vision, and values, the
Director of Student Ministries will be an outgoing self-starter who loves Jesus and has a desire to share Christ with middle and high school students and help them discover what it is to be a follower of Jesus.
Position Title: Director of Student Ministries
Reports to: Senior Pastor/Head of Staff
Position Type: Full Time/40 hours per week
DIRECTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRIES What you'll do: Middle and High School Student Discipleship
- Lead discipleship opportunities to inspire students grades 6-12 to follow Jesus for life. This includes weekly groups, seasonal events, relational ministry, and annual trips.
- Lead outreach events.
- Be in the community to meet students where they are. Attend games, concerts, recitals, etc.
- Encourage students to participate in the broader life of the church, specifically Sunday worship. This includes identifying opportunities and inspiring students to serve on Sunday mornings.
- Work with volunteers to lead students through an annual confirmation course using materials based on biblical foundations of faith.
- Perform other duties as related to Student Ministry as assigned by the Pastor
- Invite students to participate in worship on Sunday mornings.
Ministry Team and Parent Interaction
- Recruit, train, and direct Student Ministry Leaders as they disciple students.
- Ensure all Leaders receive proper training under Northminster's Safe Boundaries policy.
- Inspire and support parents as they disciple their students.
- Connect with parents who are not part of our congregation.
- Communicate to students, Ministry Leaders, and parents the mission and vision of NPC.
College Ministry Outreach
- Create 2+ fellowship/discipleship events a year for returning students at Christmas time and Summer
- Identify and equip college students for leadership in church ministry
- Work collaboratively with Pastor to identify and mentor recent high school graduates, inviting them to participate in leadership opportunities such as worship ministry, student ministry or mission and outreach ministry.
Broader Role as Northminster Staff Member
- Work with staff to create a welcoming atmosphere for students and families within the broader church, specifically Sunday worship.
- Develop and oversee the annual Student Ministry budget.
- Direct all youth-related communications.
- Participate in Northminster staff meetings and weekly check-in meetings with Pastor/Head of Staff.
- Work with all to accomplish Northminster's mission, treating every member, guest, and coworker with Christ-like love and respect.

- Continue to grow and mature in Christian faith through study and prayer.
- Model personal commitment to Christ through participating regularly in various aspects of church life at NPC.
- Lead students to new and growing relationship with Jesus and equip volunteers to do the same.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Theologically consistent with Reformed theology and a willingness to become a member of Northminster. While Northminster is a member of the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO), we are open to evangelical, Gospel-centered candidates from other denominations or traditions.
- Willingness to follow guidelines as written in the Employee Handbook, including maintaining confidentiality.
- Senses a call to Student Ministry and displays a compassionate love for teenagers.
- Ability to connect well with students and their families.
- Growing leadership skills with a willingness to be coached in faith and ministry life.
- The ability to lead a team as well as work on a team.
- A creative and dynamic teacher
- Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively and safely communicate via social media.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Ministry leadership orexperience is preferred.
- Experience recruiting and equipping teams for ministry is preferred.
