Director of Strategy & Execution - Rare Disease
Cambridge, MA (Hybrid; must be on-site 3x a week)
I am partnering with a large biotech company seeking an operational leader who can align the US Rare Disease Franchise with its strategic goals and business priorities. This role will be responsible for executing strategy and streamlining cross-functional communication by fostering operational innovation and strategic alignment across the Franchise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate memos and present strategic priorities to the C-Suite, North American Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Head of US Rare Disease Franchise by proactively identifying business risks and opportunities
- Manage organizational, financial, and operational activities within the US Rare division.
- Continuously evaluate business processes and optimize operational design to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate closely with the Leadership and Finance teams to track and manage the budget.
- Lead regular review sessions and US Rare Leadership Team meeting to ensure that the strategic goals of the Franchise are aligned with long-term organizational goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, Masters or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of direct industry or consulting experience in the Pharma/Biotech/Healthcare industry
- Proven ability to lead a commercial team in a highly matrixed organization
- Specialty or Rare Disease experience
- Proven business acumen and strong organizational, managerial, and leadership skills
- Ability to work with and present to senior executives
