POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for directing all sourcing, procurement, spending analysis and supply chain information system (SCIS) activities to support the Health System Supply Chain (SC) operations and assures system-wide best value is achieved and maintained. Provides leadership and direction for procurement of all capital equipment, supplies, pharmaceuticals, and services while ensuring item master integrity, SCIS functions and supporting spend analysis activities. Monitor's procurement activities ensure system policy and contract compliance, and system financial integrity. Implement and execute procedures and relevant programs to improve and streamline procurement processes; enhance technologies; operations; and elevate service levels for internal and external customers. Performs work of considerable difficulty related to the coordination, preparation, competitive solicitation; analytics and negotiation of complex contracts and agreements. Coordinates and directs the development, evaluation and administration of Requests for Proposals, Invitations for Bid, Requests for Information and Requests for Qualifications. Continually assesses and drives a culture of daily performance improvement, and break-through enterprise-level innovation for departmental analysis functions. Builds effective strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. Identifies critical events in all SC operational plans and monitors timely implementation and tracking of strategic goals and project execution within all of SC. Oversees SC education and Group Purchasing program. With assistance from the Executive Director of Supply Chain & Value Analysis Teams, will develop and implement the approved strategy for cost-saving opportunities and initiatives in the Physician Preference, Surgical Services, and Capital space and participate in the overall strategic planning and operational direction in conjunction with the appropriate leadership.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree required. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a Healthcare Supply Chain or 10 years in other supply Chain is required. Must have proven working knowledge of external (environmental) and internal (resource) analysis; development, execution and monitoring of program strategies and action plans; and healthcare management. Familiar with LEAN concepts
