About the Position Pattonville School District is accepting applications for the position of Director of Secondary Education. This position reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and provides leadership in the following areas:
- Assist secondary schools with the district and building school improvement process.
- Lead the design of a competency-based/personal learning environment at the secondary level.
- Lead district professional development committee.
- Support and facilitate efforts to increase student achievement.
- Collaborate with secondary school principals and secondary staff on the implementation and coordination of professional development.
- Serve as the lead administrator in matters relating to secondary curriculum, instructional materials adoption, implementation, and evaluation.
- Oversee the articulation of curriculum between middle school and high school.
- Utilize various data sources to determine the effectiveness of the district's curriculum and instructional practices.
- Support teachers in the implementation of best practices and ensuring that all students achieve at high levels.
- Oversee career education programming.
- Collaborate with secondary schools on CTE programming and oversee related funding like the Perkins grant.
- Oversee and develop college collaborations for college credit offerings.
- Organize and lead orientation for new certified staff.
- Lead secondary summer school programming.
- Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning.
Position Qualifications - Master's degree (MA/MS) in Educational Administration (Doctorate preferred)
- At least five (5) years of successful teaching experience
- Experience in instructional leadership and curriculum development
Salary Range - Competitive Salary: $127,670 - $181,010 - Will be updated for the school year
