This position will be located at our Hampton Farms location in Raleigh, NC.


The Company

Hampton Farms is the leading In-Shell Peanut Company in the US. We are also a leading producer of other types of nuts and nut butters for the retail and commercial markets. You can find our product in most grocery stores and major league baseball stadiums. We distribute under the Hampton Farms brand and are also a leading private label manufacturer.


Purpose

To grow supermarket retail sales & profitability on core competencies while developing strategic plans to capitalize on the company's expanding production capabilities and emergence into new channel & department opportunities. Ensure all Regional Sales Managers maintain adherence to all sales objectives, profit integrity, and customer service while simultaneously managing their geographic broker networks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct all regional Retail Sales Managers and work with all levels of company management to achieve fiscal goals & objectives.
  • Interface with all departments focusing on sales growth, operational efficiencies, and customer care.
  • Work with Sr. Dir. Sales Strategy & Business Development to establish SMART sales forecasts & goals for regions & territories.
  • Work with the Sr. Dir. Strategy & Business Development as well as FP&A team to ensure profitability objectives & targets are being achieved & maintained.
  • Work with the Sr. Dir. Strategy & Business Development as well as marketing team to develop SMART presentations integrating the use of NielsonIQ metrics, working toward achieving IRI targets & maximizing sales call effectiveness.
  • Work with the operations team to monitor and track service levels and OTIF compliance.
  • Work with the marketing team on initiatives designed to drive value-added sales .
  • Work with each Regional Sales manager on establishing forecasts and goals by region, by broker, by customer, and by product category.
  • Work with senior management and all Regional Sales managers to develop and track sales incentivation programs.
  • Work with all Regional Sales Managers & demand planning teams to drive efficiencies at plant levels in order to maximize customer service goals and profitability objectives.
  • Attend all required senior management meetings with preparation on status of sales & performance to target.
  • Integrate the sales team with new systems and strive for usage by all parties to the highest degrees of capability. Ensure compliance to company standards.
  • Attend critical customer meetings to drive opportunities and broker oversight.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 5-10 years of progressive sales leadership experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, preferably in the food manufacturing sector.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and leading high-performing sales teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with strategic account management, national and regional retail chains, foodservice, and/or distributor partnerships.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to turn data into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Strong business acumen with a keen understanding of P&L management and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with sales analytics platforms is a plus.

Work Environment

Operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution. This role requires frequent cross-functional interaction and travel (up to 30-50%) to meet with key retail partners, brokers, and attend industry events. The ideal candidate thrives working independently, managing multiple priorities, and staying closely connected to retail trends and market dynamics.
