Title: Director of Program Management
Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid)
About the Role
One of our clients, a leader in electrified powertrain solutions for commercial transportation, is seeking a Director of Program Management to drive the execution of key initiatives across engineering, product development, and manufacturing. This role will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and ensuring successful delivery of innovative powertrain solutions.
The ideal candidate is an experienced program leader with a strong technical background, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a track record of driving programs from concept to commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end program execution across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory teams.
- Develop and manage program roadmaps, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration between product, engineering, operations, and finance.
- Identify and mitigate program risks, proactively addressing roadblocks to keep projects on track.
- Manage program budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring delivery within scope.
- Drive continuous improvement, implementing best practices in program management and product development.
- Act as the primary point of contact for executive leadership, providing regular updates on program status, challenges, and key milestones.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality requirements for commercial vehicle electrification.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in program management, preferably in automotive, transportation, or electrification industries.
- Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional programs with successful product launches.
- Strong understanding of engineering development cycles, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management.
- Expertise in Agile, Lean, or Stage-Gate methodologies for program execution.
- Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced environments with rapidly evolving priorities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in program management tools (JIRA, Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalent).
- PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications are a plus.
