Job Summary:
A leading pharmacy services provider is seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Program Director to develop and implement pharmacy-related programs through education, quality improvement, and direct facility engagement. This role will oversee pharmacy operations, maintain key customer relationships, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise all pharmacy activities, including medication dispensing, inventory control, product selection, purchasing, staffing, performance reviews, and planning.
- Assist the Director of Quality Assurance in monitoring the quality of pharmacy programs.
- Coordinate Order Entry, Fill Technicians, and Staff Pharmacist workflow and scheduling to ensure quality of care.
- Facilitate collaboration between pharmacy staff and facility nursing, medical, and administrative personnel.
- Develop, implement, and monitor new pharmacy policies and procedures; review and update existing policies.
- Provide drug information and educational programs to facility nursing and medical staff.
- Train pharmacy staff on policies and procedures.
- Offer clinical consultation, monitor therapies, and oversee treatment modalities including total parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, and pain management.
- Perform staff pharmacist duties as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations, including 797 Compounding Rules.
- Plan and oversee future pharmacy developments, including new business initiatives, services, automation, and technology advancements.
- Assist in training and orientation for new administrative and clinical personnel.
- Ensure 24/7 pharmacy staffing coverage.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee and schedule all pharmacy departments, including pharmacists, order entry, fill technicians, medical records, and billing.

Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of experience in acute or long-term care pharmacy, including geriatrics and infusion therapy.
- Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
- Active and good-standing Pharmacist license in the State of Florida (preferred)
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for presentations.
- Ability to perform essential duties effectively and maintain good health.
