Director of Pediatrics
Location: Austin, TX
Type: Full-time, Days (No Weekends)
Salary: Up to $173,000 base + Leadership Incentive Bonus + Relocation Assistance
Position Overview:
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Director of Pediatrics to oversee pediatric inpatient and emergency services. This leadership role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care through staffing, compliance, operational management, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and clinical oversight across pediatric units, including Med Surg, Pediatric ICU, and Pediatric ED.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence in patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and accreditation standards.
- Oversee daily operations, staffing models, patient flow, and budget management.
- Implement evidence-based practices to drive quality, efficiency, and positive patient outcomes.
- Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and professional development across teams.
- Lead efforts to enhance patient and family satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field (required).
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience as a Director in a Pediatric setting.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary up to $173,000.
- Eligible for Leadership Incentive Bonus.

Additional Details:
- Coverage: Pediatric Med Surg (10 beds), Pediatric ICU (6 beds), Pediatric ED (10 beds).
- Leadership structure: 2 managers overseeing Peds ED & PICU.
