Role - Director of Nursing

Role Type:-, Full Time/Onsite JOB DESCRIPTION: The Director of Nursing is a key member of the Leadership Team and plays a major role in the culture of caring and commitment throughout the organization. They serve as a clinical leader, guide all aspects of resident care, foster staff teamwork, and promote clinical and educational development.
Job Roles - Serves as a member of the Leadership Team and participates in other management meetings as requested
- Provides administrative support and oversight to the Nurse Managers, Respiratory Therapists, Nurses, and Dietitian
- Ensures children's nutritional needs are met, coordinating with the Dietitian and Medical Director Serves as infection prevention nurse (or trains and supervises designee) and develops a culture of prevention
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of current nursing practice and the roles and functions of patient care team members
- Regularly assesses the effectiveness of delivery models and develops new delivery models as indicated
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to assist with admission, discharge planning, and census management - Serves as primary clinical liaison with referring hospitals, Medicaid, and community nursing agencies or area agencies; designates, organizes, and supervises nursing staff tasked with admission, discharge, and other clinical partner follow-up tasks
Required: - R.N. licensed in the State of New Hampshire with a minimum of ten years' experience in nursing, including three years of progressively responsible management or leadership.
- Must have demonstrated strong clinical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with individuals with multiple disabilities and/or chronic health conditions is preferred.
Experience in pediatrics and/or long-term care is preferred.
