We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled nursing professional to provide strategic leadership and direction to our nursing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our nursing operations, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety. This role requires a well-organized, compassionate, and dedicated individual, who can effectively manage a team, handle multiple responsibilities, and adapt to changing situations.

This is a Monday through Friday role, working days only (no night requirement)

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
2. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards.
3. Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to determine the best patient care plans.
5. Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff.
6. Manage the nursing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
7. Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and guidance to nursing staff.
8. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in nursing and healthcare.
9. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and laws related to nursing.
10. Handle patient complaints and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
2. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory.
3. Minimum of 5+ years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
4. Proven experience as a Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, RN Manager, or Nurse Supervisor.
5. Excellent knowledge of nursing operations, procedures, and best practices.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills.
7. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Ability to handle stressful situations and make informed decisions.
9. Proficient in healthcare management systems and medical software.
10. Commitment to providing the highest level of patient care and safety.
