Job Title : Director of Nursing (DON) - Rehab & Long-Term Care (LTC)
Overview :
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and manage the clinical operations of our rehabilitation and long-term care (LTC) facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership, regulatory compliance, and staff development, with a deep understanding of both short-term rehab and long-term care services.
Responsibilities :
Oversee all nursing operations in the facility, ensuring high standards of patient care in both rehab and long-term care (LTC) units
Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures that meet state and federal regulations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care across all departments
Monitor and improve clinical outcomes through effective care planning, patient assessments, and quality assurance initiatives
Ensure compliance with infection control, resident rights, and HIPAA regulations
Act as a liaison between administration, residents, families, and staff to maintain open communication and resolve concerns
Oversee MDS (Minimum Data Set) completion and ensure accurate documentation for reimbursement and care planning
Participate in budgeting, staffing, and strategic planning for the nursing department
Maintain a positive and supportive work environment to promote staff retention and high-quality resident care
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in a rehab or long-term care (LTC) setting
Previous experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant DON strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations and survey processes
Proficiency in electronic medical records and care planning systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and maintain a resident-centered approach

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
