Job Title: Director of Nursing - Emergency Department
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift, 5x8, 8a-4p
Pay Rate: $90/hour

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the Emergency Department at a renowned medical center in Brooklyn, NY . This is a unique opportunity for a nursing leader who thrives in high-pressure environments and is passionate about delivering exceptional emergency care.

As Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for the overall operations, staffing, and compliance of the Emergency Department. You'll play a key leadership role in shaping care strategies, mentoring nursing staff, and ensuring top-quality patient outcomes in a busy hospital setting.

Director of Nursing (DON) Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all nursing services in the Emergency Department
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of ER nurses and support staff
Manage staffing schedules, hiring, and onboarding processes
Develop, implement, and maintain nursing protocols and performance improvement plans
Collaborate with other department leaders to align on patient care goals

Director of Nursing (DON) Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing required
Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of 3-5 years of nurse management experience , preferably in emergency or critical care settings
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required
