Must be an RN graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN is preferred but not required. Must have current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities - This position is ultimately responsible, and accountable, for the nursing care received by residents which includes but is not limited to, assigning and/or filling in to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing for all shifts within state guidelines
- To direct, evaluate and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary
- Assess resident care needs and assist in the development of individualized plans of resident care
- Conduct resident care conferences
- Report problems to the Administrator, conduct daily resident rounds and initiate corrective action as necessary
- Conduct staff meetings with all shifts
- Assume responsibility for nursing service compliance to federal, state and local regulations Direct allocation of nursing service equipment and supplies
- Supervision and Scheduling
- Conduct interviews and hire nursing service employees
- Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Establish good public relations with hospital discharge coordinators
- Consistently demonstrate responsibility, accountability, and dependability
- Work cooperatively with facility administration, nursing personnel, ancillary personnel, all facility departments.
