Role Summary:

Surgical Solutions is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts, focusing on both domestic and international healthcare markets. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of healthcare marketing, including hospital purchasing processes, key stakeholders within health systems, and how to effectively market our products and services to them. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in product marketing, digital strategies, and executing global marketing campaigns, including navigating the complexities of international markets.


You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy, which includes product marketing, brand management, customer segmentation, and integrated communications. This is a hands-on role that requires both leadership and direct involvement in creating content, managing campaigns, and optimizing marketing strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute a marketing strategy that aligns with Surgical Solutions' goals, focusing on both domestic and international health systems to support brand and product growth.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead a small marketing team, fostering collaboration and ensuring the achievement of marketing goals.
  • Product Positioning & Messaging: Lead the development of product positioning strategies and clear messaging to highlight the value of our products and services to hospital decision-makers.
  • Content Creation & Campaign Management: Create marketing content (e.g., brochures, white papers, social media posts) and manage digital campaigns to meet market needs.
  • Integrated Marketing Campaigns: Plan and execute marketing campaigns across channels, ensuring they are tailored to specific regional healthcare system needs.
  • Lead Generation & Customer Acquisition: Implement targeted lead generation strategies in both domestic and international markets through digital marketing channels like SEO, SEM, and social media.
  • Customer Segmentation & Insights: Conduct market research to understand regional customer needs and refine marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, product management, and other teams to align marketing strategies with product features and customer needs across global markets.
  • Analytics & Data-Driven Decision Making: Monitor and optimize campaigns using data analytics to improve ROI and product visibility.

Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Experience: At least 10 years of progressive marketing experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within healthcare. Experience in international marketing campaigns and navigating global markets.
  • Product Marketing Expertise: Proven track record in product marketing, including developing and executing marketing strategies for both products and services in the healthcare industry. Experience with international product launches and marketing initiatives.
  • Healthcare Expertise: Deep understanding of hospital purchasing processes, decision-making roles, and factors influencing healthcare buying decisions across various global markets.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-On Marketing Execution: Demonstrated ability to execute marketing strategies, including content creation, product positioning, and campaign management.
  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Expertise in digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing. Ability to manage campaigns across multiple regions with distinct market requirements.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions and optimize marketing strategies for both domestic and global markets.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven leadership skills, with experience building and managing high-performing marketing teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging for both domestic and international healthcare decision-makers.
  • Results-Oriented: Ability to deliver results through a strategic, hands-on approach to marketing that maximizes brand impact and drives customer engagement.
