Director of Marketing lead our organization's integrated marketing, communications, sales, and public relations functions. This is a pivotal position that directly influences the public image, brand recognition, and long-term success of our community.
About the Role: The
Director of Marketing plays a key leadership role in planning, developing, and executing all marketing and communication strategies across the organization to achieve occupancy and revenue goals. This role works cross-functionally with internal departments and provides expert guidance and direction to the Marketing team.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Planning - Design, lead, and execute organization-wide marketing, communications, and public relations strategies that support occupancy and revenue growth.
- Develop long- and short-term business development plans and monitor success metrics, reporting directly to the CEO.
- Maintain a strategic perspective rooted in market analysis, customer feedback, and industry trends.
Marketing & Branding - Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and consistency across all platforms, campaigns, and communication channels.
- Manage the design, production, and distribution of marketing and sales materials, working closely with other department leaders to ensure alignment.
- Lead advertising, media placement, digital marketing, and content strategy to increase visibility and engagement.
Sales Development - Develop sales strategies and tools to support prospect conversion, lead generation, and retention efforts.
- Utilize sales forecasting, tracking tools, and data analytics to evaluate campaign performance and adjust tactics as needed.
- Plan and execute events, promotions, and outreach programs that drive community engagement and occupancy rates.
Communications & Public Relations - Manage internal and external communication efforts, including media relations, press releases, newsletters, crisis communication, and internal staff updates.
- Serve as the organization's spokesperson when appropriate, and maintain strong relationships with media contacts and community stakeholders.
Team Leadership - Direct, train, and mentor the marketing team to ensure excellence, growth, and accountability.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience in marketing, communications, or sales.
- Experience in Senior Living preferred.
- Strong background in strategic planning, team management, and campaign execution.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated success in developing and managing budgets and performance metrics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Experience in working with or leading cross-functional teams is a plus.
