Job Summary
The Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement manages the athletic department's marketing and promotional strategies, including graphic design for digital and print materials and enhancing gameday experiences. This role also involves building partnerships with campus and community partners to boost attendance.
Responsibilities
- 20% Responsible for the daily operations of the marketing and promotional strategies for the athletic department's eight programs.
- 25% Creates graphic designs for social media, video board presentations, external media displays, and internal facilities as well as marketing materials, schedule posters, and other promotional content as needed
- 20% Implements strategies to improve gameday atmosphere, student-athlete experience and fan engagement through game scripts, music selection, video boards, and special presentations
- 10% Creates partnerships with campus and community organizations to strategically promote athletic events to increase attendance
- 10% Works in conjunction the Executive Director of Athletics and/or other campus partners with the Grizzly Club, including but not limited to cultivation, stewardship, benefit preparation and distribution and hospitality area management.
- 10% Works in conjunction the Executive Director of Athletics and/or other campus partners with corporate sponsorships. Including but not limited to, coordinating sponsorship activations and events and ensuring fulfillment and deliverables are met.
- 5% Oversees mascot program and works with GGC's Cheer Club representatives to encourage Grizzly spirit during competitions
- 5% Coordinates department's special events such as Welcome Back social gathering, Senior Appreciation dinner, Hall of Fame banquet, G-Claw Society events, etc.
Required Qualifications
- 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years of relevant experience
