Our client is a leader in the Aviation industry and currently experiencing rapid growth. They are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable DOM to join their team and be a part of their growing success.

SUMMARY: The Maintenance Director is the direct liaison to the FAA, state and customer. Overall responsibility for every function of maintenance and enforces adherence to the RSM and QCM (repair station manual and quality control manual) as required by the FAA.

Corporate Jett experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Hire personnel with proper qualifications and maintaining proper staffing level
  • Build a Team environment ensuring all reports feel valued
  • Ensure the growth of the repair station by analyzing potential work and revising the repair station capability list as required
  • Tracking of individual training records and training needs
  • Developing and providing additional training necessary to grow the repair station
  • Ensure adherence to RSM personnel requirements section
  • Conduct daily briefs with employees, making sure they are on track with timeline and do not have an issue that may preclude them in performance of their duties
  • Schedules maintenance personnel hours to maintain efficient operations of maintenance department
  • Inspect facility routinely so that it continues to meet FAA 145 guidelines
  • Scheduling and tracking maintenance including outside customers
  • Perform aircraft work in accordance with Maintenance Manual and the RSM/QCM.

  • Complete ALL documentation prior to release of aircraft (including):


    • Maintenance hours have been properly tracked
    • All parts have been accounted
    • Individual work items have been signed by both the performer of maintenance and the chief inspector
    • Aircraft paper logs or computer-based logs have been updated
    • FAA Regulatory forms submitted if/as required
    • Customer has been fully briefed on what work was performed and if it will have any effect on control of the aircraft
    • Ensure invoices are paid in full prior to release of aircraft


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Airframe & Power plant Certificates
  • Willing and able to work varied hours and schedules, as required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 15 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with 5 years of aircraft maintenance management experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Associate's degree or higher
  • Additional related training or technical school education
  • 7 years FAR 145 Quality Assurance Maintenance experience
