We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Digital Media to lead our live commerce strategy across platforms such as TikTok, Whatnot, Instagram, and emerging streaming marketplace channels. This role will oversee the creative, operational, and revenue-driving aspects of our live content, blending entertainment, community engagement, and real-time shopping experiences. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of livestream culture, commerce trends, and influencer ecosystems, with proven experience scaling livestream operations for major brands or marketplaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of all live streaming initiatives across multiple platforms.
Own KPIs including audience growth, engagement, conversion rates, and revenue from live commerce content.
Recruit, manage, and mentor on-camera talent, hosts, and production staff.
Collaborate with brand, merchandising, and marketing teams to curate product selections and storytelling for livestreams.
Analyze data and viewer insights to iterate content formats, time slots, and platform strategies.
Develop and maintain partnerships with major social platforms, influencers, and tech partners.
Manage live content production calendars, ensuring brand alignment and consistency across streams.
Monitor competitive landscape and innovate with emerging livestream trends, tools, and monetization models.
Ensure technical execution of live streams is seamless, from setup to post-production.
Requirements:
7+ years in digital content, e-commerce, or live streaming, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience managing or producing live content on platforms such as TikTok LIVE, Whatnot, Instagram Live, YouTube Live, Twitch, or similar.
Experience working with major brands in retail, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer tech.
Strong understanding of Gen Z and Millennial shopping behaviors and content consumption trends.
Ability to lead both creative and operational aspects of live streaming at scale.
Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on when needed.
Strong network within the creator economy and live commerce ecosystem is a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
Experience with livestream production tools, metrics dashboards, and real-time analytics platforms.
