Job Summary:


Our client is local to the Kansas City, MO area and is a full-service architecture firm that specializes in the design of Healthcare projects throughout the nation. Director of Interior Design Qualifications:


  • Professional degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field (Bachelor's or Master's required).
  • NCIDQ Certification is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of interior design experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior project role.
  • Extensive experience in healthcare architecture and interior environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare codes, ADA compliance, and FGI Guidelines.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and mentoring design teams.
  • Strong ability to manage vendors and coordinate educational opportunities.

Director of Interior Design Responsibilities:


  • Lead and mentor the interior design team, managing hiring, training, and professional development initiatives.
  • Establish a strategic design vision for the interior design practice that aligns with the firm's goals and healthcare-focused objectives.
  • Inspire and provide design leadership on projects, driving creative and innovative solutions.
  • Lead efforts in attracting and developing top talent to cultivate a high-performing design team.
  • Serve as a quality control checkpoint throughout all project phases, maintaining a strong focus on detail and design integrity.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative culture within the Interiors Department.
