Job Overview:

The Director of IT will be responsible for IT strategy and execution. This role will oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of systems that support our employees, facilities, and national operations. Reporting to the CTO, you will lead a growing team responsible for corporate networks, cloud infrastructure, business applications, cybersecurity, and IT support. You will work closely with leaders in Finance, Facilities, HR, and Operations to ensure all systems are aligned with business goals and are secure, compliant, and scalable.


This is a strategic leadership role with both architectural and operational responsibilities. We seek a hands-on, systems-minded leader with a track record of building modern, enterprise-grade internal IT capabilities in fast-growth environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the internal IT roadmap based on ITIL best practices, aligned with business growth, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Oversee internal IT infrastructure across offices, internal data centers, and related cloud environments, including best practices such as identity management, network architecture, endpoint management, and more.
  • Own enterprise applications portfolio, including ERP, CRM, ticketing, asset management, HRIS, collaboration tools, and other business systems
  • Serve as a strategic partner to all functional departments by supporting their specific technology needs, evaluating and integrating best-fit tools, and enabling secure, scalable tech stacks tailored to their workflows that increase productivity.
  • Establish and update IT operations processes, including helpdesk, incident/change management, SLAs, and support documentation according to industry best practices and our mandated compliance requirements
  • Develop and lead IT policies and programs for cybersecurity, data protection, SOC2, and ISO 27001 readiness, as well as disaster recovery/business continuity activities.
  • Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management for IT services and platforms
  • Manage a growing team that includes sysadmins, software engineers, DevOps, and IT support specialists; coach and scale the team geographically as needed.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate IT performance, end-user satisfaction, and operational resilience

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of IT experience with increasing leadership responsibility, including managing infrastructure, business applications, and support operations
  • Proven success scaling IT in high-growth emerging companies
  • Experience managing hybrid environments, including SaaS, on-prem, and cloud-native infrastructure in SLA and 24/7 environments
  • Strong knowledge of modern technology stacks, compliance standards (SOC2, ISO27001, etc.), and IT governance
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices, with the ability to pragmatically apply them to improve service delivery and support operations
  • Expertise in IT service delivery, including SLAs, ITSM tools, and support models
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor management and capacity planning
  • Excellent leadership communication and project management skills
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
  • Ability to effectively coach and mentor a team to deliver outstanding results and quality of service
