We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Director of HR in Toledo, Ohio. In this role, you will provide strategic direction and guidance to our leadership team to maximize talent efficiency and cultivate a culture that makes our organization an employer of choice. You will also ensure our human resources strategies align with our overall business plan and strategic direction.
Responsibilities:
• Build, motivate, and retain a high-performing HR team that upholds our vision, mission, and core values.
• Develop and execute HR strategies, particularly in talent acquisition, succession planning, training and development, performance management, and total compensation.
• Manage and process claims related to the Federal Torts Claims Act (FTCA), and act as the primary contact for all FTCA-related activities.
• Serve as the main point of contact for all employee matters involving EEOC complaints and litigation, and represent our organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
• Stay informed about changing government regulations and public policies, and communicate their potential impact on our organization to executive leadership.
• Set, enforce, and evaluate HR policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements, and recommend best practices to executive leadership.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of problems, consequences, and alternative solutions to ensure organizational effectiveness.
• Manage the HR annual budget, perform cost and productivity analyses, and maintain awareness of salary grades and budgets for all positions.
• Strategize on designing, developing, implementing, and administering comprehensive total remuneration systems.
• Champion a culture characterized by a strong sense of mission, vision, and values, a commitment to customer service, positivity, mutual accountability, collaboration, and diversity.
• Direct and oversee the development and implementation of employee relations strategies to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Required Skills:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a HR leadership role
• Previous experience in Healthcare, Non-Profit or Public Service Industry required
• Expertise in managing and executing benefit functions
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven knowledge and experience in compliance with labor laws
• Strong background in managing employee relations and conflict resolution
