We're a 12-person team based in Austin, Texas, building what we believe is the future of patient engagement for healthcare practices. Hello Patient was founded by a team that spent 3.5 years building consumer and growth products at Carbon Health before starting the company in April 2024.
Since closing our seed round, we've built and deployed our first AI agents into production, signed our dozen customers, and are actively onboarding more. We're backed by top investors and scaling with urgency, strong product conviction, and deep customer empathy.
The Role
We're looking for a Director of Growth to help us get in front of more of the right customers, faster. The perfect person for this role is a player-coach growth generalist with strong GTM instincts and hustle. This role is a blend of market strategy, creative demand gen, and early sales execution.
You'll be one of the earliest go-to-market hires, working alongside our CEO, Alex Cohen, to shape our outbound motion, talk to customers directly, and unlock scalable growth playbooks. No two days will look the same - one day you're knee-deep in a lead list and the next you're iterating on messaging or jumping on discovery calls. You'll play an instrumental role in everything from pipeline to positioning.
Core Responsibilities
Market Research & Segmentation (25%)
- Identify, size, and prioritize high-value customer segments in healthcare
- Conduct competitive analysis and surface whitespace opportunities
- Build, clean, and enrich target lead lists using tools like Clay, Apollo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Customer Discovery & Sales (25%)
- Take intro and discovery calls with prospects to sharpen messaging and qualify opportunities
- Run lightweight full-cycle sales where needed (especially for early-stage deals)
- Feed back learnings to refine ICP, pitch, and product positioning
Demand Generation & Outreach (50%)
- Launch and optimize outbound campaigns across email, phone, LinkedIn
- Plan events, webinars, and attend conferences
- Work with an agency to create marketing collateral
- Test new channels and creative tactics to drive qualified pipeline
- Continually experiment messaging and GTM priorities
- Own early top-of-funnel KPIs: outreach volume, response rate, meetings booked, pipeline created
Who You Are
- Comfortable as a team of one doing all IC work (for now), but ready to scale when the time is right
- You've done some mix of B2B marketing, sales, and customer discovery - especially in early-stage environments
- You're curious, self-directed, and love talking to customers
- You can form and change opinions quickly based on both your gut and what the data says
- You move fast but don't cut corners
- You want ownership, not just execution
Nice to Haves
- Experience using tools like Clay, Apollo, or similar for outbound
- Healthcare or regulated market experience
- Strong writing and storytelling skills
Location
This role is specifically based in-person at our Austin HQ
