Role & Responsibilities:
Our top candidate will have extensive experience in Managing Consultants, Budgets, Schedules and creating reports. In your new role, you will be based at the corporate office in Newport Beach, CA, and report to the Regional President.
This role is expected to complete the following tasks:
- Land Entitlement and Government Approvals: Review and process tentative maps, zone changes, final maps, civil engineering plans, LAFCO applications, CFD formations, LMD annexations, architectural permits, DRE approvals, environmental approvals
- Final Engineering and Consultants: Contract and manage a team of consultants including civil engineer, landscape architect, dry utility consultant, DRE consultant, title company, biologist, KBA, and CFD consultant, and others as needed.
- Architectural Permits: Prepare and process all conceptual and construction drawings for project architectural product through staff and public hearings (as needed).
- Budget Management: Prepare and maintain fees, tech, and development budgets and communicate budget status (as needed).
Skills & Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years of Land acquisition experience with either a Public or Regional Builder.
- Must have 5+ years minimum prior experience in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Public Planning and/or Forward Planning with a familiarity in dealing with Governmental Agencies and Project Management
- Bachelor's Degree required (Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, Construction Management or similar discipline)
- Able to manage multiple priorities in an efficient and accurate manner
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles
- Attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Capable of multi-tasking and completing tasks within a scheduled timeframe
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office required
