Job Title: Director of Food and Beverage
Location: Palm Springs, California
Salary: $130,000 - $135,000 annually
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Food and Beverage to oversee all F&B operations across the resort, including our signature restaurant, bar, in-room dining, and catering/banquet services. This individual will play a key role in shaping the culinary and beverage vision, delivering outstanding guest experiences, and driving departmental performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for all food and beverage outlets, ensuring consistency in quality, service, and guest satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of chefs, restaurant managers, and service staff.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu design, seasonal offerings, and culinary innovation.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, cost controls, and labor productivity goals.
- Monitor guest feedback and respond to issues with a guest-first mindset.
- Drive revenue and profitability through effective pricing strategies, promotions, and upselling techniques.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and liquor licensing standards.
- Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of all F&B team members.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Events, and Marketing teams to support catering, banquets, and special events.
Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of progressive food and beverage leadership experience, ideally within a full-service hotel or resort environment.
- Strong understanding of both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Proven track record of managing high-performing teams and delivering top-tier guest experiences.
- Financial acumen with experience managing P&L statements, budgets, and labor controls.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
- California Food Handler and TIPS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Experience working in luxury/lifestyle properties preferred.
